The President of Germany, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, arrived in Ghana for a three – day visit. This formed his first official state visit to an African country since he took office in February 2017.
Accompanied by the Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany, Mrs. Brigitte Zypries, and Substantial Business Delegates and Guests From Civil Society. Part of this delegation was Dr. Sebastian Rubatscher, the CEO of Enpact Accelerator.
The purpose of his visit was to focus on the youth in Ghana, scientific, academic cooperation, vocational training as well as on investment and business promotions and opportunities.
As part of his 3- day visit, the President visited iSpace Foundation to interact with Startups.
In the 48 mins interaction, the President learnt about how Startups operate in the country. The aim of this meeting purposely was to develop their business and link them with International businesses.
Startups who joined this discussion are currently supported by the Germany and iSpace Foundation.
Josiah K. Eyison, the CEO of iSpace Foundation in his interaction with the President made it known to him how iSpace supports the Entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing an enabling environment in a form of Co-working space and training for Entrepreneurs and all necessary resources including funding.
