Huawei Mobile ended 2017 not only as the second largest smartphone in the world but also released its AI-first oriented flagship smartphone — The Mate 10 series released on 16 October 2017.

Huawei also released a “Lite” version of the Mate 10 with midrange specification for who can afford the Mate 10 flagship. Isn’t that considerate?
The Good news is the AI-powered smartphone is here in Ghana and selling. Head, Marketing and Training at Huawei Mobile Ghana, Fixon Dennis Laryea had an unveiling event to officially outdoor the world’s first smartphone with Neural Processing Unit (NPU) at the company’s experience store at the Accra Mall on Friday, December 22, 2017.

Dennis, made it known that available in Ghana will be the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei Mate 10, and Mate 10 Lite selling at GHS 3980, GHS 3100, and GHS 1780 respectively.
The Mate 10 series is powered by Huawei’s all-new AI-focused processor, the Kirin 970. The Mate 10 is backed by 4 GB of RAM coupled with 64 GB storage, while the Mate 10 Pro is backed by a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. The most expensive model, the Porsche Design gets 6 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
The phones’ body is made of 3D glass with aluminium frame. Both front and back of the phone is covered with Gorilla Glass 5.
Huawei once again partnered with Leica to engineer the dual-lens camera in the Mate 10 series.
The phones run on Android 8 “Oreo”, with Huawei’s own custom skin, EMUI 8.0 on top of it.
